OH MY GARBAGE

molotov cocktail: Go West, Young Man!

sachinteng:

Sorry for the lack of posts this week. Long story short, I’ll be moving to California next week! I’ve been busy packing and saying my good byes. Heads up, not sure how long it’ll be till I get internet at the new place so. Consider this an advanced notice of going MIA.

For those asking about…

If you’re a feminist who understands the (apparently not) radical concept that women can have penises and men can have vaginas (and that there are people with either or both of those who may very well identify as neither a man nor a woman), would you mind reblogging this? I could really use a little faith in humanity being restored right about now.

reblogging yet again because a) i’m so sooo happy how many notes this has, it really warms my heart b) i went into a fit of glee when i saw bugbrennan’s butthurt post about it (you’re damn RIGHT this has 7000 notes Bug)

Reblogging it just for that.

Also HECK YES on this blog post! I went a long time in my very queer but very sheltered life somehow not knowing these things, and I sure am glad I’ve wised up.

‎Rape culture is a culture in which people who have survived a violent crime are asked to laugh about it because other people think it’s funny.

—(i wish i could put this on a business card and hand it out to people who make rape jokes.  the flip side would say FUCK YOU)

This card is a great idea.

Amber sent me her colouring book, “Old Year, New Year,” which was already a little creepy… so I pushed it over the edge with some tiny additions.
Get it here (and see what I changed — particularly pleased with “soon we’ll all live forever!”) before it’s sold out!

How wonderful.

Summers a comin’!

Summer means working my writing muscles more and more, so on top of working on my Zombie Cowboy vignettes, the short story about traveling through Luzon, continuing my daily journal, and keeping my commitment to my writing group, I plan on starting a food blog that is about my food journey in the Bay Area, mainly San Francisco.

This will include recipes focusing on using meats from Avedano’s, fare from Fatted Calf, and produce from Eatwell Farm and the wonderful farmer’s markets that I stumble upon. On a weekly basis, I’ll have the progress of my collection of water color paintings of produce that will fill up the white space of my kitchen wall, articles on quirky little treats I find myself obsessing over only found only in SF, and of course, those special occasions when I do eat out. I do also plan on finding all things “Roma.” That means cafes, restaurants, etc. I’ve found a couple, but my hunt will not stop until I can try everything they have and review it on my blog!

I really hope that this is the summer where I get my writing groove back. Not that the muscle is in complete atrophy; it’s just a little meh (or at least not up to my standards). I just thought of this the other night so I don’t have a name yet, but this is for what’s to come!

Finally!

Finally!
